Chaparral Crossing Farmers’ Market Inc is a registered nonprofit organization in the state of Texas and is a Texas Department of Agriculture Certified Farmers Market. The primary goal of the market is to make fresh, healthy, sustainable, and local food accessible to the residents of Hornsby Bend.

Our Programs

We offer a robust food access program at the market, in partnership with the USDA and Sustainable Food Center.

SNAP Benefits

The Chaparral Crossing Farmers’ Market is a USDA-approved farmers market that has been authorized to accept SNAP benefits. We welcome SNAP customers and offer Double Up Food Bucks, which doubles the amount of Lone Star (SNAP) and EBT benefits individuals and families can spend on fruits and vegetables at farmers’ markets in Austin.

Farmers Market Nutrition Program

We also participate in the Farmers Market Nutrition Program, which is a seasonal food access program that runs from April thru October. During this time, WIC-eligible mothers, children, and infants can pick up their WIC Vouchers at Chaparral Crossing Farmers’ Market and use them to shop for local fresh fruits and vegetables.
